Safety notice:
Any shoeing harms the horse. Therefore the hay nets have been developed and tested for barefoot horses only. We advise against the use of the nets by unnaturally kept, i.e. shod horses. Also for horses whose hooves are smaller in diameter than the net meshes.
TIP:
Get a plastic pipe (water pipe) at the hardware store and thread it through the outer mesh ring of the hay net.
Connect the ends with a socket. (plumbing supplies)
You can then place the net completely over the hay and also lift it again to refill the hay. The advantage of this method is that the horses cannot lift the net partially and thus cannot freely reach the hay through an unwanted Opening.
