Safety advice:
Any shoeing is harmful to the horse. Therefore the hay nets have been developed and tested for barefoot horses only. We advise against the use of the nets by unnaturally kept, i.e. shod horses. Also for horses whose hooves are smaller in diameter than the net meshes.
Instructions for the optimal use of CG Raufen hay nets in cloth form:
First, thread the CG Raufen hay net through the meshes all around the edges with a tubular frame, e.g. made from water pipes. This is done only once and the hay net can then be folded up. By the way, the same principle can also be used for round bales or box nets or for round cloth nets. Instead of a tubular frame, however, the hay net cords are in principle also sufficient to fasten the net at the lower edges.
Attention: Order snap hooks and rubber cord as well.
The next step is to place the round bale in the rack.
Then pull the frame with the net over the bale.
All in all, this makes hay feeding a very effective and time-saving process.
At the end you can fix the frame at the bottom of the hay rack to make sure that the horses cannot pluck the hay out from under the frame.
